Over time it has progressed into different variations, such as: Deep House, Electro House, Nu Disco, Progressive House, and Tech House. What is heard today from popular names such as: Porter Robinson, Deadmau5, Kidnap Kid, and Bloombox & Sam Feldt, are all variations of House Music.

Deep House, at 1230 Room, is a night dedicated exclusively to Deep House Music.1230 Room is the only places that caters to the EDM community in Olympia.

General Manager, and DJ, Alex Bosi explains the reasons behind The Deep End in Olympia:
Deep Tuesday is a headfirst dive into the underground sounds of House Music. It is also about how it touches each listener in a unique way. Whether it’s: head down bobbing to the beat, jumping hands raised to the ceiling, or just that subtle groove that tickles your soul, House Music is a universal language that speaks to all of us. In a city (Olympia) that has a very niche EDM community, and few nights dedicated to electronic music, we wanted to create something different. An opportunity for people to hear a different side of the music they love. Or, to experience it for the very first time.
The other DJ’s that play on Tuesdays at The Deep End, along with Alex Bosi, are Evan Mould, and Chris Paro. You may have recently seen the Tastemakers, made up of Alex Bosi and Chris Paro, at Foundation Night Club when Sound Remedy came to wow the city.

Alex Bosi is confident that 1230 Room has the potential to grow to 100 patrons or more on any given Thursday. He stated that they currently see about 25 people at The Deep End on Tuesdays.

“The night is still in it’s infancy and we hope to see it evolve and grow overtime, just as the EDM scene has in the last few years.” -Alex Bosi

Along with the exclusive House Music selection that starts at 9pm on Tuesdays, 1230 Room also offers:

 • no cover
 • $3 You Call Its
 • $3 Drafts
 • $3 House Wines

*Please note: This is a 21+ event

If you’re interested in checking out a new night club or just getting out of your regular Thursday night routine, visit 1230 Room to see how they compare in today’s thriving dance music industry.

“We are dedicated to keeping it going. Everyone involved is here because we’re passionate about the music. It is the center of everything we do.” -Alex Bosi
