The wait is over. Justin Blau, also known as 3LAU, has released 3LAU HAUS #22 (March Mayhem). His girlfriend, Cassandra Williamson-Hopp, said: “this is one of my fave thus far.” Will the masses feel the same?
If you’re at all unfamiliar with this artist, 3LAU HAUS’ are podcasts which are released periodically. Pronounced: Blau House. Don’t worry, the numbers as letters can be a bit confusing. He likes to keep his fans on their toes with creative names and unique phrases. 3LAU’s Facebook states:
TOMORROW will mark the last time you’ll hear a mix of solely other artists’ music. The next episodes will feature a ton of original content (How You Love Me, Bang, Vikings, to name a few) that I’ve been working on for over a year now. Thanks for sticking with me for so long guys, I cannot wait for you to hear my new stuff & my collaborations with a couple top 10 DJ’s.
If you haven’t heard the preview of How You Love Me, you need to. Immediately. How You Love Me is one of the most anticipated releases from 3LAU yet. He allows his fans to get a glimpse of the track on his podcasts, bashups (a 3LAU “mashup”) and when he plays at venues but really, it’s just a tease. Which is exactly what keeps people coming back for more of 3LAU and his originals.
If you’re interested in what is on this week’s 3LAU HAUS, Justin was courteous enough to give away the details, even before the release. With names like Dillon Francis, Kill The Noise, Nicky Romero, and Steve Aoki, this episode already has great promise, regardless of how well-known 3LAU currently is. However, there is one twist to this release: The acapella aspect.
As you may know, “acapella” is solo or group singing without instrumental sound. No instrumental sound? How is an EDM DJ/Producer going to pull that off? You’ll have to join in and take a listen to the newest release from Justin: 3LAU HAUS #22 (March Mayhem) and let us know what you think.
