‘It’s Now Or Never’: 4 Things You Need To Know About Tritonal (Exclusive Interview)

Walking into the green room at Paradiso, it became immediately evident why Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed of Tritonal are so well-loved by the dance music community. With personalities that could fill an arena, the two Texas natives were practically beaming at their view of the Gorge, showing that even rising stars can still be impressed by a beautiful venue.

Immediately after the audio recorder was set down on the coffee table adjacent to the couch, Chad asked that the interview take place standing up, making for a dynamic we’d never before experienced. Four of us stood in a circle above the two couches with arms folded, akin more to acquaintances talking over their weekend than journalists interviewing artists. That exact sort of accessibility is what seems to define everything that embodies Tritonal and the musical mission that started from such humble roots in Austin, Texas. Not surprisingly, their massive success has them doing anything but resting on their laurels.

Sometimes we just wake up kind of pinching ourselves. Other days it feels like it’s not enough.

But what is it really that sets Chad and Dave apart from the rest? We dug in and came back from the Gorge with plenty to tell.
