DMNW Selects: 5 Artists to Watch at Snowbombing 2019

Snowbombing Canada is just mere months away and we’re excited to get back to the mountain! The Snowbombing crew has been so welcoming to the DMNW family, the last couple of years, becoming one of the favourite events of the year! Now, this being a larger festival, it’s easy to pick out the headliners you wanna see, but here’s a couple that you may have missed among the massive print names!

5. Emancipator

Though by no means a new artist, Emancipator generally flies under the radar with newer groups of ravers. Specializing in downtempo, ambient sounds, his collection of tunes is impressive, having been a major face in that area of EDM for the past 15 years. Make sure to check this show out, this is going to be one you’re gonna want to catch outside!

4. Peep This

Hailing from Edmonton, AB, these guys have been making massive waves in the EDM circuit there, and across the globe! A duo for the ages, with one half originally hailing from the west coast of Canada- making a name for himself as DJ Tyco back in the day! Most recently spotted rocking the jungle at Bamboo Bass Festival in Jaco, Costa Rica, these guys will wear you out!

3. Westwood Recordings Showcase

So not technically one artist to watch for, but still! Westwood Recordings is our dream record label. All the funk that Canada and the rest of the world has to offer. Started by The Outlier, aka Nick Middleton of The Funk Hunters, it’s grown to be a global phenomenon, and we’re hyped to see a showcase at such an amazing venue. Expect sets from artists like The Funk Hunters, Skiitour, Burchill, Smalltown DJs and more!

2. Sasha

Arguably one of the largest artists on the bill, and one of the most revered as well. Sasha is a trance giant, selling out arenas all across the globe and cementing himself, along with his partner in crime John Digweed, to the stratosphere of EDM artists. If you like to dance and feel at the same time, this is the one for you.

1. Anna Lunoe

Mixing live vocals with lush production and a summery smile to go along with it, Anna Lunoe is a powerhouse! We caught her electric Pagoda set at Shambhala Music Festival in 2015, and it made sure we’d never miss her again.

Tickets are still available online, and the full lineup is available below!
