Bootie founder A Plus D has a long, storied legacy as the driving power behind pointing us towards the best bootlegs and mashups the industry has to offer. It’s origins date back to 2003 as a club night in San Francisco, and has since expanded with nights in Seattle, New York City, and all over Europe.
Each year they compile the best mashups from a collection of DJs, throw it into a mix CD, and release it for free. The 2013 version is upon us, and let’s just say we’ve already listened to at least three times. Maybe four. OK more realistically five. Our playcount notwithstanding, it’s a mix you won’t want to miss, featuring mashups in the realm of Carly Rae Jepsen vs. Nine Inch Nails, and even a surprisingly pleasant Miley Cyrus/Hardwell combo.
