If you’re like us, and you’ve already started to think about what festivals you’re going to attend next year, Insomniac and C3 Presents are pairing up to bring us something we’ve never seen before. The 3-day festival – called Middlelands – is going to be held in Todd Mission, Texas, May 5-7.
But there’s a twist. This festival has a sort of future-Renaissance theme to it. If you’re getting tired of the typical outdoor festival, or are ready for a break from the unqiue ones we know and love, here is your opportunity to try something very new and different, as far as EDM festivals go.
No artists have been announce yet, but the Middlelands site previews the stages, art, rides and performers that you’ll see at the festival. They are going all-out with this theme, in the spirit of festivals like EDC, where guests are immersed in a fantasy world during their experience. The site promises “cyber-wenches and barbarian beauties to neon knights and other mystifying characters,” along with “four-dimensional superstructures and mind-blowing feats of ingenuity, inspired by the elements of air, water and fire.”

Insomniac, which was founded by Pasquale Rotella, puts on some of the biggest EDM festivals in the world such as, Electric Daisy Carnival and Beyond Wonderland. Insomniac has been bringing EDM lovers together since 1993. C3 Presents brings music lovers back to Chicago and Texas each year with Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, with some of the best line ups in the nation.
