Chet Faker (Now Nick Murphy) Releases New Single

Chet Faker has a new name. Well an old name, really. He turned to social media last week to let his fans know he will no longer be releasing music under Chet Faker. Instead, he will be producing under his actual name, Nick Murphy.

Nick Murphy is an Australian musician with an amazing career. He has released five albums to date and has worked with artists such as Flume and Marcus Marr.

Along with his decision to start producing under his own name, he has released a new single, and it is everything we hoped. It takes you on a journey of emotions within just a few minutes. Though he is going by a different name, it’s the same great sound that we have come to know and love. He was right, Chet Faker is still there and part of the music.

Though we don’t know why he chose to make the change, we are excited about his evolution and where it goes. Make sure to keep an eye out for Nick Murphy, and check out his next album when it drops.

What do you think sparked the change?
