Dillon Francis Helps Unveil Snapchat’s Spectacles, Now We Want Them

Dillon Francis Helps Unveil Snapchat's Next Big Thing

When it comes to Dillon Francis and Snapchat, expect the unexpected. Last week, Mr. IDGAFOS, one of our favorite Snappers, took to the popular social media app to show off a fancy pair of the new Snapchat Spectacles. What resulted was a demonstration so awesome, we’re longing for a pair ourselves this holiday season. Take a look!

Sporting a sleek, stylish look, high definition video capability and ease of use, Spectacles have the potential to be game changers in the world of electronic dance. If you’ve been to a club or festival this year, you’ve probably seen your peers recording using Snapchat. Even some artists will pull out their phones and take Snaps, showing what the action is like from inside the DJ booth. Now imagine going to a show next year. There could be a real possibility that these same people will put their phones away and wear these glasses instead. Shades inside a dark, electronic dance environment? The future of style and technology: it’s coming folks!

Luckily we have some time before the Snapchat apocalypse arrives. According to Business Insider, the glasses are currently hard to come by; there are only four ways to get your hands on them, five if you count breaking into Snap HQ and snatching a pair (which we highly suggest not doing!). They cost $130, and are re-selling for more than $1,000 on virtual market sites like eBay. There has been no word on when, and if, they’ll be mass produced.

What do you think about the Spectacles? Would you buy a pair? Drop a comment and let us know!
