A Look Inside Future Sound of Egypt’s Impressive Sub-Labels

FSOE Record Label

FSOE Recordings (Main Label focusing on Uplifting Trance. Run by Aly & Fila)

Future Sound of Egypt Recordings is an electronic label dedicated to trance music. It was founded by Egyptian duo Aly & Fila in 2009, and shortly after their launch, FSOE joined Armada Music for 6 years. In 2016, they split from Armada and have continued as an independent label.

In the last few years, FSOE Recordings has expanded their reach and aims to create sub-labels for the vast variety that is trance music. This makes it easier for fans to find and digest music of their taste.

Sub-labels

Clandestine (Sub-label focusing on Tech Trance which launched in 2016. Run by Stoneface & Terminal)
Clandestine was created to share the evil side of trance. Directing their attention to the darker side of the genre, Clandestine is tailored for the artists whose music best fits into the peak-time hours of clubbing.

Fables (Sub-label focusing on Uplifting Trance which launched in 2017. Run by Ferry Tayle & Dan Stone)
Digging further into the FSOE roots, Fables is all about uplifting trance and is run by two trance legends. Affectionately named Fables, another word for a tall tale, it is clear this is a derivative play on meaning by Ferry Tayle and his alias.

UV (Sub-label focusing on Progressive House. Run by Paul Thomas)
It’s no secret that trance and house often intermix with each other. Both sharing their love for progressive music! For FSOE UV, a house legend Paul Thomas brings to the trance label a bit of housey inspiration to keep the variety flowing.

Parallels (Sub-label focusing on Progressive Trance. Run by Monoverse)
Launching in 2017, Parallels was created to replace FSOE Excelsior. Dedicating themselves to progressive Trance, Monoverse has taken on quite the feat. Mohamed Ragab leaves big shoes to fill. Let’s keep an eye out for future Parallel tracks in 2018!

Closed Sub-labels

Excelsior (Sub-label focusing on Progressive Trance which launched in 2014. It was run Mohamed Ragab)
Ragab split from FSOE in 2017 and continued the project as an independent label – Excelsior Music.
