When we sat down with ill.Gates and KJ Sawka a few months ago they had just finished their first collaborative track. Now the duo has officially released their Unsung Heroes EP on KJ Sawka’s Impossible Records. The EP features the original mix of their debut track together, a grimy dubstep remix by Architekt, a funky vocal rework by SugarBeats featuring Calysta Cheyenne, and a VIP drum and bass mix to top it off.
Ableton mastermind ill.Gates and “the human drum machine” KJ Sawka have come together to create this majestic dubstep track, one that we’re sure to hear played out everywhere there’s a bass stage. Each version of the track is special in its own way, and we can only hope that versatility will allow us to hear more of it in different types of sets. We can’t wait to hear more from this unstoppable team.
