RL Grime and Lane 8 present terrifying 1 Hour Halloween Mixes

Electronic music fans were awarded Halloween mixes in both trap and deep house this year! RL Grime released the 8th version of his Halloween mixtape on the morning of Halloween. While the deep house producer Lane 8 took his first shot at a Halloween mix.

Halloween VIII

We waited all month for RL Grime to announce details about his annual Halloween mixtape. First, he teased Halloween 8’s release on October 1. Then on October 25, he confirmed an October 31 Halloween release date.

Grime’s Halloween mix has grown into a VIP collection of the newest and best in trap for the next 12 months. Halloween VIII lived up to the hype. RL brought unreleased collabs with Whethan and up and comers from his label like Juelz and Montell2099. In Halloween 8 RL Grime mixed the first play on tracks from Hex Cougar, Baauer, and more. View the full track-list.

As fans of all electronic genres, we realize how important Halloween 8 is for trap. This year’s edition is especially important. It has the spooky Halloween vibes that you crave mixed with brilliant and terrifying trap music.

Lane 8 Brings Dark House Flavor:

We weren’t sure how the Brightest Lights from Lane 8 was going to work with a Halloween mix. Despite our low expectations he completely blew us away with a dark and mysterious take on deep house.

Lane 8 continues RL Grime’s Halloween ID tradition with 25% of the mixed songs being unreleased IDs. Most notably is the preview of The Gift from Lane 8’s upcoming artist album.

A new Halloween edit of Lane 8’s Little by Little specifically stuck with us. The Halloween version keeps the original guitar melody but incorporates a dark and mysterious atmosphere. Lane 8 definitely brought the treats this Halloween!

For your Halloween party, the choice is yours. Between RL Grime, Lane 8, or maybe a couple of master party planners will find a way to incorporate both. Either way, you are in good hands this weekend. Be safe out there.
