If you live or have visited Seattle for Seafair weekend, there’s no doubt of the impression it leaves as far as being one of the best weekends in the PNW in the summertime. The sun is almost always out in full force, the beer is cold and refreshing, and the inevitably positive vibes seem to radiate wherever you go.
This was certainly the case this past weekend while the Blue Angels cast their amazing shadows over the blue sky action gracing the Northwest’s skies during “Dillon Francis’ Hello Seattle: I Love You” event, which took place at Seattle Center hovering just below the Space Needle. This event was brought to the city by AMF, Upper Left, and Dillon whose choice to bring this event to Seattle was highly influenced by the fact that his brother calls the city home.

Joining Dillon on the lineup were other heavy bass dropping artists who really brought their own energy to the venue including: What So Not, Party Favor, Nitti Gritti (check out his new House EP though), Wax Motif and DMNW’s own alumni and Seattle native, Kendoll. It was evident that the all the artists came ready to serve up their own flavor and fresh beats that really provided an amazing atmosphere to be a part of. Each DJ did have uniquely different vibes to their sets, which didn’t lead to any moments that didn’t lack originality or depth.
Additionally, all artists on the lineup really did compliment each other and reflected a true vision of the type of event that Dillon would continue to produce and put his signature stamp on in the future. It was also very amusing to see the photo inducing installations such as the giant Gerald (Dillon’s famous and favorite piñata donkey) chilling in the grass that practically begged for an Instagram photo shoot to capture the silly and positive essence of the day.
We would have to say that by far the most impactful moment was when Dillon came on the stage with so much presence and absolutely lit up the arena. His stage presence and dirty beats are captivating and eagerly drew everyone to join in the party and bounce happily along to his set. Overall, this was a really chill summer event that we’re grateful for AMF, Upper Left, and everyone else who contributed to this event going off without any issues and bringing these artists to Seattle for a fun summer party to be remembered.
