Avicii’s Family Honor Him with Mental Health Foundation

It is hard to believe that we are coming up on one year. Tim Bergling, more commonly known as Avicii, passed away April 20th of last year from apparent suicide. 2019 still brought new music, documentaries and awards, but there is no denying he was missed.

Not only is his music still inspiring people, but so is his caring personality, and want to help others carries on with the help of his family.

Avicii’s family announced that they are launching a mental illness and suicide prevention foundation in Avicii’s memory, The Tim Bergling Foundation. An announcement made by the family says the foundation, “will initially focus on supporting people and organizations working in the field of mental illness and suicide prevention.”

The foundation will also help with “climate change, development assistance, nature conservation and endangered species.”

“Tim wanted to make a difference — Starting a foundation in his name is our way to honor his memory and continue to act in his spirit,” his family said. The foundation will launch April 20th.
