A quick chat with Boo! Seattle artist Nora En Pure (DMNW Interview)

No stranger to the dance music world, Nora En Pure set the bar high for many of our favorite artists. The Swiss artist brought a whole new meaning to deep house and blessed us with her presence at many stages across the globe.

Nora En Pure’s Purified brand blossomed throughout the years from a radio show to a record label, we have seen nothing but growth from her brand.

Nora En Pure made an appearance in the PNW earlier this year, and will be at Boo! Seattle presented by Insomniac on Halloween weekend. Make sure to stop by her set next Saturday to watch her in action!

We had the chance to chat with the deep house queen herself, sharing her upcoming projects, Purified brand and much more. Check out the full interview below.

Can you tell us a little more about Purified? What drove you to create the radio show and events?

Nora En Pure: Purified has been around for a long time now, but it all started with my radio show. It was a way to connect on a regular basis with people and grow a community. Also a way to highlight and play the music that I love, besides my own. Purified events followed after, where I invited DJs whose music I play often in the radio show or have a similar sound & style. It all happened very organically!

How would you describe your style of dance music that you make?

The music I create is somewhere between deep and progressive, with organic and cinematic elements.

During COVID last year when everyone was stuck at home, did you ever find yourself exploring more with your sound?

I always explore with my sound and try new things out, but try to keep the style and characteristics that makes Nora En Pure music quite unique.

What projects are you currently working on that you are excited about?

We are constantly working on the Purified Records label, visual content for Nora En Pure shows, new music, content etc. Working with music and growing a brand is a never ending process!

Any exciting collaborations that you have in store?

I recently released a remix of Tove Lo’s classic Cool Girl and also a new club weapon of mine called Tantrum.

We are excited to have you back in the PNW for Boo Seattle! Do you have a special set planned for everyone?

I am super excited to be back! It has been a while. I don’t like to plan too much to be honest, but have a listen to my recent Purified Radio show episodes for some of my recent favorites. Also expect to catch some unreleased upcoming records.

The PNW is filled with majestic nature. Maybe you will host one of your live streams here one day?

As much as it would be a wonderful setting, at this point I am really grateful to play for an audience again. Who knows though, maybe in the future!

For all of your Pacific Northwest fans, do you have any last words?

Looking forward to seeing you guys very soon! 🙂
