Tiësto Remixes John Martin’s Incredible “Anywhere For You”

Tiesto has given us mixed offerings lately. From the glory of Red Lights and Take Me to the not-so-glory of Maximal Crazy, we’ve felt that maybe the veteran producer is having a bit of a mid-life crisis. Still that’s no reason to count Tiesto out. He’s teamed up with hard-hitters Dzeko & Torres for a remix of John Martin’s incredible Anywhere For You.  The Adagio For Strings creator still has some originality left.

At its core, the track doesn’t stray far from the original. It’s still a festival-ready, emotion-inducing romp through the most intense kinds of need and love. But before you know it, the song has broken down. It’s a fingered bass, echoes and vocal trio that would make U2 proud. People throw around the term “festival track” regularly. This Anywhere For You remix is clearly meant to conjure up bombastic stadium rock n’ roll. The drop is uplifting and hands-up, everything the original is, but in a different and more direct way. While the original leaves more to the imagination, Tiesto and the duo’s drop has a firmly secure lead directly up front.

The combination of these new elements with the charm of the original make for an appealing alternative. More than likely Anywhere For You was reworked to better fit into Tiesto and Dzekko & Torres’ sets, but we guess that many people will prefer this version over the original for its similar but more direct approach.  Yet another reason to love the John Martin original.
