Bumbershoot is a Northwest staple and one of our favorite festivals each year. Routinely delivering a unique combination of artists and genres year-after-year, Bumbershoot brings fans from various realms of music together. But this fake lineup takes it to another level. Watching what would happen with fans of Merle Haggard, Prince, Katy Perry, and Weezer joined together for a festival experience would be worth the price of admission itself.
[divider]SAFE IN SOUND 2015[/divider]
The award for ‘Most-Cruel Joke’ for April Fool’s Day goes to whoever put together this bass-heads dream tour. The shiny ‘Safe In Sound’ logo at the top inspires hope, which quickly fades to maniacal laughter at how amazing the lineup is. Another award for ‘Most Creative Fake Collab Project’ goes to Flux PaSkrillion, which we’re certain needs to be a real thing. Last year’s Safe In Sound Festival was one of our favorites to go through the Northwest, and if 2015 can feature even a couple of the artists from this fake lineup, we won’t complain.
[divider]EDC ANTARCTICA 2016[/divider]
We don’t doubt Electric Daisy Carnival’s ability to do much of anything nowadays. From Vegas to New York, the UK to Mexico, EDC has been putting on some of EDM’s biggest festivals around the world for years. Imagining an entire stage (or festival) made out of ice doesn’t seem outside the bounds of Pasquale Rotella’s imagination, but a trip to the Antarctic may be more than just a year away.
