6 Music Podcasts Every Dance Music Fan Should Follow, Pt. II

Future Sound of Egypt Radio – Aly & Fila

Northwest trance fam, if you have yet to hear Aly & Fila’s weekly show then you have to  ASAP. Our favorite Egyptians Aly and Fida celebrated their 450th radio show this summer with an eight-stop tour and FSOE450 compilation.  They are currently on episode 471, and 472 should be set to release this week. FSOE includes a multitude of entrancing trance hits from popular artists, as well as ones you may not know. The most recent airing included tracks like Sean Tyas’ Matter of Time and Phil Dinner’s Skywalker. From anthem to progressive to psytrance, Aly & Fila’s FSOE will satisfy all trance-lovers. The success of FSOE450 definitely ensures there will be more to come. Plus, they performed at the Pyramids of Giza for FSOE450, so we can only anticipate something epic in the works for FSOE550. You can download Future Sound of Egypt for free on iTunes.

No Xcuses – EDX

Every week, EDX provides listeners with a good dose of house. The Swiss DJ mixes in a variety of songs that span from deep house to tropical house, and more. He often delivers his newest tracks during the weekly podcast, as well as other new and popular releases from similar style artists. The series is one week away from its 300th episode, and doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. You can listen to and download the most recent No Xcuses episode 299 on iTunes, and listen up to episode 297 here on SoundCloud.

Night Owl Radio – Insomniac Events

In comparison to the other podcasts in this list, Night Owl Radio is more interactive with the audience and the artists. Directly from HQ, host Pasquale Rotella presents a weekly radio show that gives the listener information about what’s new at Insomniac Events. Along with insight access to Insomniac, episodes often feature interviews with artists along with a guest mix. Episode 61 of Night Owl Radio brings Eric Prydz to discuss the Up All Night Picks, and Firebeatz is on as the guest mix. The weekly episodes also feature artists of all genre’s, so you’ll never run out of choices. Night Owl Radio features have included artists like Bassnectar, Borgeous, Alison Wonderland, and Infected Mushroom. With the radio saga up to it’s 65th episode, we have a multitude of artists to check out before the newest release this week.
