A Seattle-staple, this year taking place July 24 – 26, the Capitol Hill Block Party is a must-consider for every Northwest festival fan when deciding summer plans. Continually intriguing and well-rounded lineups make the three-day celebration, a celebration of everything that makes Seattle one of the Northwest’s hubs for art and music, one of the top multi-day festivals around. Tickets for the event are also very reasonably priced, with the total coming in at around $150 for a 3-day wristband. We’ll take that any day, especially with a lineup featuring RATATAT, Jamie xx, Giraffage, Daktyl, and many more artists from a variety of genres.
[divider]MUSICFESTNW – Portland, OR[/divider]
MusicfestNW is another option for our southern-most Northwest ravers, happening over at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland. Taking place August 21 – 23, MusicfestNW will feature two stages for artists such as Foster The People, Modest Mouse, Danny Brown, Twin Shadow and more. But, if you’re busy for part of that weekend, don’t fret, because you can buy single-day and three-day passes to MusicfestNW. [divider]WHAT THE FESTIVAL?! – Wolf Run Ranch, OR[/divider]
Another Oregon-based festival that will be drawing attendees from throughout the Northwest, What The Festival?! is quickly becoming one of our area’s premier summer experiences. The four-day festival takes place June 19 – 22 at the 250-acre Wolf Run Ranch in Oregon, about 90 miles east of Portland. After drawing The Glitch Mob, RL Grime, Claude von Stroke, Cashmere Cat, and a host of other quality dance music artists, the 2015 had some big shoes to fill. After even a quick skimming of the WTF?! 2015 lineup, one can see that those shoes have been filled with ease. Big Gigantic, ODESZA, GRiZ, Keys N Krates, EPROM, and more make up a lineup that is undoubtedly one of the Northwest’s best of 2015, tickets to which can be purchased here.
