With her signature blend of melodic house and driving techno, Pretty Pink has carved out a sound that’s both euphoric and deeply emotive, captivating audiences from around the world. As a trailblazer in the electronic music scene, she’s built a loyal following not just for her infectious energy behind the decks, but for her artistry as a producer and label founder.
Her “Deep Woods” brand and global radio show has grown immensely reaching more than a million streams worldwide and it shows no sign of stopping. Just wrapping an amazing North American tour (including a stop at Q Nightclub here in Seattle!), we were able to chat with Pretty Pink about her creative process, the evolution of her sound, and what continues to inspire her after more than a decade at the forefront of dance music.
DMNW: Your North American tour has been ongoing for almost a month now which can be both exciting and demanding. How do you maintain balance and stay creatively refreshed while constantly on the move?
Pretty Pink: Tour life can be a blur, but I’ve learned to find calm inside the chaos. I run at sunrise whenever possible because it clears my head and resets my body. Yoga and short strength sessions in hotel rooms keep me centered, even if it’s just twenty minutes before a soundcheck. I also write a lot while traveling: melodies, small voice notes, sketches. The movement itself becomes a rhythm, and that energy translates directly back into the music.
DMNW: You’ve built an impressive career blending melodic house and techno with your own unique energy. How has your sound evolved over the years and what experiences would you say have shaped your current style of music?
Pretty Pink: My sound has matured the same way I have, still emotional but more intentional. In the early days I was drawn to uplifting hooks and warm progressions. Now I focus more on storytelling through sound, layering organic textures with deeper, progressive structures. Playing across so many cultures and scenes has shaped that evolution. Every crowd teaches you something about tension, patience and release. Those lessons find their way into every new production
DMNW: Running your Deep Woods label, you’ve built a space not just for your own music but for other rising artists. What inspires you when deciding on who or what to feature on the label?
Pretty Pink: Deep Woods started as my creative home but quickly became a community. When I listen to demos, I look for honesty. It is less about perfect production and more about emotional resonance. I love artists who think in color, who dare to explore cinematic and organic sides of dance music. That is what Deep Woods Vision is about too, building a platform for forward-thinking sounds and genuine artistry.
DMNW: You’ve played at some of the world’s largest festivals like Ultra and Tomorrowland. Is there a particular performance that stands out as a defining moment in your career?
Pretty Pink: Tomorrowland’s Mainstage was unforgettable. Standing there and seeing a sea of flags waving in slow motion, you realize how powerful unity through music can be. It felt like the world was breathing together. I dropped a single vocal loop and thousands of voices echoed it back. It was overwhelming in the best way and one of those moments that reminds you why you started this journey in the first place.
DMNW: Touring and creating music require a ton of energy and focus. What does self-care or downtime look like for you when you’re not working?
Pretty Pink: I spend time in nature, always. Growing up near the Harz Mountains taught me to listen to stillness, and I still carry that with me. Long walks, cooking simple meals, journaling gratitude notes; these things keep me balanced. Silence is as important to me as sound. It gives space for new ideas to breathe.
DMNW: Are there any artists or producers you’re eager to work with or dream collaborations you’d love to make happen?
Pretty Pink: There are many. I admire producers who blend emotion with innovation such as Stephan Bodzin or RÜFÜS DU SOL. Collaborations for me have to feel organic, like two stories meeting in the right moment. I also love supporting new talents through my label. Sometimes the dream collaboration is discovering an unknown artist and creating something special together from scratch.
DMNW: With 2026 already on the horizon, what can fans look forward to in the coming year?
Pretty Pink: A lot of new music. The next singles dive deeper into the cinematic, progressive side of my sound. There are plans for special collaborations and extended edits made for my live sets. I will also expand the Deep Woods Vision project with new releases from artists I truly believe in. And of course, more touring, from Europe to North America and hopefully back to Asia. Every year feels like a new chapter, and I want 2026 to be the one that connects all the dots between sound, emotion and experience.
As our conversation with Pretty Pink comes to a close, one thing is clear — her success stems not just from talent, but from authenticity and heart. Whether she’s headlining a festival or crafting new sounds in the studio, Pretty Pink remains grounded in her purpose: to connect people through music that moves both body and soul. Her story is a reminder that passion and perseverance can turn dreams into rhythm. Pretty Pink’s journey is proof that staying true to your sound and vision can create a lasting impact in a crowded industry. With each track and performance, she continues to shape the melodic house landscape — not through trends, but through timeless energy and emotion. As she looks ahead to her next chapter, fans can expect more of what she does best: music with meaning.
