Bill Withers – Use Me (Manic Focus Remix)

Use Me is one of those songs everyone doesn’t know they know.  From gracing the Boogie Nights soundtrack to scoring the sexiest scene in Anchorman, the Bill Withers classic sounds just as perfect today as when it was released in 1972.  Chipper drums and a bass line that can walk for days without breaking a sweat, it’s a surprise it’s taken this long for someone to remix it.  Manic Focus, claiming Use Me to be “one of my favorite Bill Withers’ songs,” doesn’t so much remix the song as update it for the 21st Century.  The track retains all of the original’s groovy mindset and soulful vocals while adding all the glitch-hop candy that has come to define his sound.  Listen below and click through for a free download!
