Black Lion Audio announces Revolution 2×2 audio interface

Music production junkies know Black Lion Audio as the industry’s long-standing leader in audio interface modifications. Their mods (on nearly every interface and preamp you can think of) provide upgraded op amps, better capacitors, and converter decoupling. Following that elite legacy in interface modification, Black Lion Audio has announced its inaugural entry into the home studio interface market with the Revolution 2×2.

Black Lion Audio maintains that the Revolution 2×2, a two-channel mic/line audio interface with phantom power, balanced 1/4″ outputs, and S/PDIF outputs, sports an above-average audio quality thanks to their experience in up-converting other audio interfaces.

“Revolution 2×2 is built with the most cutting-edge, high-end ICs (Integrated Circuits) with high-end Vishay, Nichicon, and Wima capacitors being used. Ultimately, all internal gain-staging has been optimised for the very lowest signal-to-noise ratio and all analogue I/O connections have not only been built with the finest components but are also fully decoupled and balanced — right to the very core of the converter! Most manufacturers do not follow this practice, failing to prevent extra noise contamination during both audio capture and playback as a direct result.”

The Revolution 2×2 is available for preorder now, and will begin shipping in February 2021. The unit costs $399 USD, and is available from Black Lion Audio’s network of distributors.
