Los Angeles-based duo City 17 released a preview of a new tune this week, which is hopefully one of many more to come. Felipe Pereira and Justin Anderson, who have some Northwest roots, released their third EP, Cast Away, in July and we’ve been waiting on the edge of our seats for more ever since.
The preview of the new track, Get Up, is a snippet from City 17’s performance last week at the C89.5 Hootenanny at Neighbours Nightclub on Captiol Hill. Based on the 43 seconds we’re given, Get Up has the same, infectious high-energy and high-intensity feel as other great City 17 tracks like Demake and Cast Away. Their last batch of tunes were as enjoyable in headphones as they were on the dance floor, and we’re glad that trend seems to be continuing.
