Electric Love Music Festival Drops The Local Lineup We’ve Always Dreamed Of

We’ve said before that British Columbia certainly has no shortage of music festivals in the summer, and who could blame them? B.C.’s incredible weather, beautiful scenery and growing catalog of local talent truly make it a great place to host a festival. On our quest to expand our horizons and experience all that B.C. has to offer, we’ve recently been introduced to a new festival experience. Electric Love debuted in 2015 in Agassiz, just a short 90-minute drive outside of Vancouver. What began as a two-day festival on it’s inaugural year quickly grew to a now 4 day event featuring some serious talent.

The event came to be after five separate production companies decided to join together and create Electric Love. With a passion for music, its culture, and pushing the bounds of whats possible for a music festival, Electric Love has quickly grown. A large part of its growth can be attributed to the festival’s community involvement and active promotion of inclusion, affordability, participation, self-expression, and sustainability. With a vision on promoting not only international talent, but the “100-mile DJ” as well, Electric Love aims to showcase what British Columbia has to offer from their music scene.

Unveiled today, Electric Love has clearly been putting in work all year to help curate such an incredible selection of musical talent. With the 2017 lineup featuring acts such as Liquid Stranger, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Featurecast, Xilent b2b Far Too Loud, and Five Alarm Funk, it’s easy to be excited. The lineup also hosts a ton of local favorites including Longwalkshortdock, Whipped Cream, Kytami, Walter Wilde, Neighbour, Perkulat0r, and more. If you looking for a festival to truly discover what the B.C. music scene is all about then look no further than this lineup!

Tickets are still available, and at just $200CAD (that’s $148 in USD for any interested Americans), you’re getting a serious bang for your buck. With many of B.C.’s favorite festivals already sold out, some may be looking for alternatives, and Electric Love is certainly worth consideration. Electric Love is the only multi-day camping festival held within 100km of Vancouver.

Its accessibility, affordability, and community focus help create a seriously memorable weekend. With crowds much smaller than some of the other major B.C. festivals, Electric Love will not only be intimate, but give you plenty of room for dancing and camping. The folks at Electric Love stay plenty busy all year round promoting their festivals ideals with events across the city, so we look forward to experiencing it all for ourselves this year.

For full details about Electric Love, we suggest heading over to their Facebook page and official website to get the low-down on tickets, artist bios, and everything else you may need. We’ve already planned our summer trip to Aggasiz, so hope we see some of you there! We’ve got a busy summer ahead of us with lots of festivals coming up.
