September is coming to a close, meaning we are officially one month away from the 20th anniversary of FreakNight Festival. It’s time to start counting down the days until the Halloween festivities under the Twisted Big Top. If you have been lucky enough to attend a few massives in the area,  you may have seen a few of the Phase 1 lineup, as it consists of headliners that  have passed through the northwest over the last few years. But, if you have yet to see any of these artists for the first time, now would be the time to seize the day!  Even if you aren’t sold on the headliners, rumors say that the side stages will be stacked this year. Tickets are on final tier, and expect it to sell out after the full lineup release on Friday, September 30th.

We’ve compiled a list of songs, separated by artist, to get you pumped up for the full Freaknight lineup and the 20th anniversary. Perhaps you’ll find some new tunes that you’ve not yet heard along the way.

Martin Garrix

The young Dutch producer has been busy since leaving Spinnin’ Records. Shortly after his departure, Garrix created his own label, STMPD, and released the song, Now That I’ve Found You (feat. John & Michel) as his first single in March. Many of the songs he’s put out on SoundCloud in the last 11 months show that he’s experimenting with new sounds. Some of his songs are featuring more elements of future and deep house. Maybe this new record label means there will be a change for Martin Garrix’s regarding genres and festival performances, which would be a fun surprise for our FreakNight celebration.

Zedd

Zedd has spent the last year touring for his newest album True Colors and headlining multiple festivals. He also gained media attention this year for his vocal stance on the Ke$ha’s case against Dr. Luke, and subsequent remix of the song True Colors featuring her vocals (which we thought was awesome). Zedd’s songs are known to be vibrant, but with this being his 3rd (4th including FVDED) massive festival in the northwest over the last 2 years, we are curious what he will bring to the table this FreakNight.

Armin Van Buuren

The “state of trance” DJ is back in the northwest. His Paradiso 2015 performance was one of the best sets of the weekend, and will definitely not be one to miss at FreakNight. Armin is one of those legendary DJs that you have to see at least once (especially if you’re into trance). He recently released a ‘”mini album” titled Old Skool in August, and we’re crossing our fingers to hear some of those tracks. With a return to the northwest so soon, we are excited to see what he’ll have in store for us this Halloween weekend.
