Detroit Sax master, Grant Kwiecinski, better known as GRiZ, is at it again with a brand new surprise release. His new track Throwback, titled off of the popular “Throwback Thurday” hashtag movement, has the same funky glitch sound per-usual, but slows the tempo down, taking on a whole new sexy vibe that will make you want to keep grooving all night. Although Throwback does still hold onto GRiZ’s classis funk sound, one thing that is a bit different is the hint of trap that we hear in the breakdown. Is this something that we might hear more of in the future from the master of funk?
According to GRiZ’s Facebook post earlier today, random track releases are something that fans can get used to, stating, “ps.. I’m gonna start releasing music randomly more often. I dunno why I haven’t been doin that….”. All we can say is keep em’ coming!
