HEMPFEST Set To Light Up Local Music Scene

It’s been just a couple years since recreational marijuana was legalized in the state of Washington. One of the biggest public awareness campaigns on the subject is the yearly HEMPFEST® festival. The festival – happening this weekend downtown Seattle – features a variety activities including panels, speeches, food – and music

There are two music stages we are particularly excited about at the festival: the Bassdrop Music Village and the Starborne Electronic Stage. Both will be featuring music from some top local artists from around the Northwest. At the Bassdrop stage, artists such as Enzo, Sean Majors, Lotus Drops, and Sir Kutz will be making an appearance. At the Starborne stage they are featuring Northwest favorites DJ Flave, Xan Lucero, and Gene Lee, Rob Noble & Michael Manahan.

With the past few years boasting record numbers for attendance, this year’s program looks to be on par. So if you’re headed out to HEMPFEST® this weekend, make sure to support some amazing local artists. And it’s looking to be a little cold and possibly rainy (with some hopeful sun on Sunday), so don’t forget to plan Seattle-style and bring a jacket. Oh, and did we mention, it’s FREE!

Details:
Where: Myrtle Edwards and Centennial Parks
When: Friday from 12-8 pm; Saturday & Sunday from 10 am-8 pm
Cost: Free! Donations encouraged.

Are you attending HEMPFEST® this year? What are you most excited for? Tell us in the comments below.
