Hit the decks with Alison Wonderland in new “How To DJ For Beginners” series

Fresh off the release of her first single of the year, Bad Things, Alison Wonderland returns with a new YouTube series designed for absolute DJ rookies.

If you’ve always wanted to learn the magic behind the music but thought it too complex, this is the tutorial for you! Since the “How To DJ For Beginners” series launched, instructor Wonderland has uploaded four comprehensive videos, breaking down the basics.

Within the debut episode’s intro, she adds that her lessons aren’t the “be all and end all” of learning to DJ, but rather a personal technique breakdown. That means if you love her music, there’s a good chance you’ll love her tutelage too!

Each of these user-friendly videos cover introductory topics, such as navigating and using a mixer, beat matching, timing, and of course, mixing! While each episode is only 10 to 11 minutes long, Wonderland packs them full of material, cohesively building DJ fundamentals.

These short tutorial videos are easy to grasp, wont overwhelm you and will definitely make you smile! There’s even a special guest appearance by her manager Garth Crane, Wonderland’s original DJ tutor years ago.

As a classical musician turned electronic music DJ/producer, Alison Wonderland’s origin story is unique and inspiring. This creative outlet of DJ tutorials is sure to encourage anyone that they too can experience the thrill of mixing music live.

Episodes arrive Wednesdays on a bi-weekly basis, with the most recent upload including a Q&A, as well as a live mash-up tutorial with what will hopefully be her channel’s new anthem. Watch the first episode below now or at Alison Wonderland’s official YouTube channel!
