UK bass music duo Koven to open fully immersive virtual club

Koven just made a huge announcement amid COVID-19 lockdowns and the end of live shows. Turns out this bass music duo has been working since the start of the new year on a groundbreaking virtual experience called Another Home! It’ll be a fully immersive virtual club complete with a dancefloor, stage, bar, recording studio, merch booth, and more! Multiple artists will perform on a given day, and all timezones will be accommodated.

Another Home was built using the same tools that brought us the video game Second Life. Attendees will be able to create their own avatars and interact with each other. Artists performing at the online venue will also have their own custom avatars and stage effects. So far, it’s not known who’s been billed to play Another Home, other than Koven who will be the debut performance.

In a great example of how this pandemic is changing the music scene, Koven’s Another Home shows how we can still come together through digital means. And fun fact: the name of the virtual club comes from the first single they created together.

A free version of Another Home can be experienced via Twitch. But for the full experience, attendees will need to purchase tickets. Prices and dates have yet to be announced. More information is available for those who subscribe to updates here.

More Koven

Comprised of London-based members Max Rowat and Katie Boyle, Koven is best known for their vocal-fueled breakbeats and cinematic bass music. Just last March they released an incredible album called Butterfly Effect which showcases Katie Boyle’s vocals synergized with Rowat’s production. Stream the full album below!
