James Murphy might get all the press, but LCD Soundsystem boasts 8 incredible active band members. Included in that roster are two incredible women, Gavin Rayna Russom and Nancy Whang, who own synths on stage and in the studio. The ladies, following LCD’s recent Grammy win, are now embarking on a month-long DJ tour, with a stop at Seattle’s Eden club in SODO.
The Ladies of LCD Soundsystem tour will hit 16 cities and close in Los Angeles on Nov. 30. More dates are set to be added. The tour is meant to highlight local women and non-binary musicians (Russom identifies as a trans woman), and a dollar from each ticket sale will be donated to RAINN and their 24/7 sexual assault survivor hotline.
