TNGHT’s Hudson Mohawke has remixed Vista by Jackson and His Computer Band. This remix will be put on the the G.I. Jane (Fill Me Up) EP out via Warp Records on November 11th. You can pre-order the EP on Bleep. Vista got some spins this summer at a lot of clubs and revived Jackson and His Computer Band as a main stage festival act in the current EDM landscape. This HudMo remix does away with some of the little flourishes from various instruments which Jackson and His Computer Band used on their album Glow. Instead HudMo plants a flag firmly in the ground and takes command of the song. The result is a showing of hip-hop musculature, thunderous bass with centered composition. That’s not to say that HudMo has completely done away with the dreamy elements of the songs original, far from it! Every part of the songs original etherial presence stays connected, even through the up-hill charge that is the songs buildup. Where this remix shines is the songs iconic breakbeat that, when in the hands of Hudson Mohawke, feels like a hip-hop arena jam. Powerful and triumphant, ready to be played at the home game for any high school football team.
