Nick Sember gets ‘moderately loud’ with “Mezzo Forte”

If you are a fan of Above & Beyond, you may remember this track getting dropped at the ABGT 150 celebrations in Australia last year. Since then, the track has been a sort of enigma. You were likely to only hear it get played at an Above & Beyond show or any artist lucky enough to have it in their musical arsenal. Well, today is the day you can hear it whenever you please. The new track from one half of the former act Norin & Rad, Nick Sember, is available for purchase on any platform you desire.

The track, Mezzo Forte (Which literally means ‘moderately loud’)is the latest release from Nick Sember and really stays true to his style of producing. Many will criticize him for incorporating elements of progressive house, electro and a peppering of bass here and there into his trance productions. We do not. We actually welcome this style of production, because the idea that one has to stay pure to a sound is not only a bone head view of music, it quite literally doesn’t leave room for artistic expression. This is why we love this track. The beginning of the track is really gritty and driving; it’s something that will really get the blood pumping. Then the track leads into a progressive and melodic build with a crescendo that incorporates all of those elements. Obviously our words will not do the track justice, so you’re just going to have to listen to it yourself. Here’ a rip from Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio of Mezzo Forte. Enjoy!

Love it or hate it, Nick Sember is really coming into his own and has been priming himself for a big year in 2016. We really look forward to the music he has been working on, and we guarantee this will not be the last time we hear from him this year. What do you think of the track? Tell us in the comments below!

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
