Monkey Loft Presents SPECTRUM: Different Styles Of Electronic Music

Tom Kha is bringing a brand new music showcase to Seattle twice a month, featuring styles from across the SPECTRUM of electronic music. SPECTRUM will be held every first and third Thursday at the Monkey Loft and will host established headliners as well as up-and-coming local talent. SPECTRUM will focus on exploring the past, present and future of bass music. On April 17, SPECTRUM will be hosting an extra special Thursday presented to you by Tom Kha and Mas Sol Collective! This is definitely an event you will not want to miss!

This week, SPECTRUM, in conjunction with the Mas Sol Collective, will be featuring Bay Area native BLEEP BLOOP! –SPECTRUM Facebook Event

A producer with support from DJ Shadow, Freq Nasty, Starkey, Kode9, Boyz Noize and many more. BLEEP BLOOP varies with a wide range of music with everything from hip-hop to orchestral music.

“His style spans from off the wall 808 blaps, purple, maxamilism, juke, grime and crosses boundaries into what some would consider as mutated club music.”

SPECTRUM, on April 17th, will also feature additional support from:

Nathan Ramos, also known as KOZMO, creates and loves bass music. He also creates KOZMO mixes, as well as mashes. He brings a combining element of glitch and dub to his sets.

“We all have had that moment when the electronic dance music scene has turned from an interest into an obsession. Nathan Ramos, a.k.a. Kozmo, is no exception to this notion.” -KOZMO Facebook

Will Erickson, also known as 2CBEATZ, aims to please the crowd and get them moving to his mixes. He focuses on each beat, while creating a perfect transition from each tune.

“2CBEATZ intuitive knowledge of crowd dynamics shines thru his mixes, as positive vibrations erupt from the dance floor in fits of laughter and funky happy people!” -2CBEATZ Facebook

If you’re looking for a reason to break out of your regular routine, 2CBEATZ will have just the right mixes to do that at the Monkey Loft April 17th!

Seems to be a sarcastic, but fun, up and coming DJ that will add some humor and flare to this Thursday night lineup as well.

Raised in the alleys of Baltimore by chemically mutated rats, Shtickykeys got his start in electronic music yesterday when he realized that it was a thing.” -SHTICKYKEYS Facebook

The Monkey Loft will also feature EBB & FLOW so if you’re looking to hear some electronic dance music on Thursday the 17th, you definitely want to check out SPECTRUM.
