Portland Shows Rescheduled Due To Snow

Snowy conditions caused local Portland venues to cancel shows and postpone to another time. It goes without saying that Portland had it’s fair share of crazy weather and snow this past weekend. It was cold, icy, and many were trapped in (hopefully) the comfort of their own homes. Businesses shut down, public transportation was sparse, and unfortunately, shows cancelled.

Beginning Thursday the snow started falling and conditions worsening making the weekend outlook iffy. Come Friday afternoon the Facebook and Twitter posts came pouring in that places were shutting down for safety reasons. Local venue Whiskey Bar was the first to make the announcement that Friday night’s show with the Disco Fries would unfortunately have to be cancelled due to weather. However, almost within the hour the Disco Fries themselves took to Facebook and Twitter announcing that no snow was going to stop them! It was decided that they would hold a pizza party for all those that could make it at local Pizza Schmizza. Talk about commitment to us fans!

It was noted via Whiskey Bar and Red Cube PDX that the Disco Fries show will be rescheduled for May 2nd.  Any tickets that were originally purchased for this event will be honored and transferred.

Come Saturday the snow was increasing and pushing towards near a foot of accumulation; a rarity for the northwest that literally only happens every so often. Shows that were to occur on Saturday night included Lucky Date at Whiskey Bar and trance powerhouse Max Graham over at Fez Ballroom for their HOUSED night. Both cancelled. Sadness ensued. But never fret fans! Lucky Date at Whiskey Bar has been rescheduled for May 31st, and the Max Graham rescheduled event is still TBD but should be announced soon. Both events, though, are also honoring current ticket holders. Thank your lucky snowflakes!

Lover of all things electronic. As a previous lead singer her music roots run deep and appreciation for all genres and artists runs high. She can be found dancing and singing along to the likes of Alesso, Hardwell, and Dash Berlin. Most awkward EDM moment? Watching Borgore sing karaoke.
