Philly beat maker Starkey knows how to take his music beyond earth’s atmosphere. His new song “Blaster” has a sci-fi title and an intergalactic battle ground feel. Salvation is shown and felt when the monstrous beat steps aside half way through the song. The syncopated loops give this song a smooth, wiggling groove that’ll get everybody in the club dancing close, and with the opening big-drum crashes it feels like a curtain is opening on a brand new life.
The song “Blaster” is the title track off his upcoming EP, out in stores Tuesday, October 29th via SMOG records.
