Rüfüs Du Sol set to swing through Seattle with revamped live setup

From the moment they stepped onto the scene, RÜFÜS DU SOL quickly made their mark as one of the world’s best live electronic experiences out there. The Australian three-piece group, comprised of members Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon Georgem and James Hunt, have previously achieved wild success with their two platinum-certified albums, ATLAS and Bloom, and with their newly unveiled third album Solace seeks to explore new territory for the trio.

If you haven’t had the chance to experience their music yet, the group’s genre of music is a fusion of both electronic music and alternative music. They truly fall into part of the indie electronic spectrum as they are an actual band (not DJs) that additionally plays electronic music. They also always incorporate live instrumentation into their sets and in their recordings. All that being said, their style of music does tend to have a house type feel to it.

Solace presents RÜFÜS DU SOL delving into new subgenres and shows a new side of the group incorporating more powerful lyricism and captivating melodies. The album was initially created in correlation with a particularly difficult time period in the band’s career and thus emotes darker themes like the persistence of a memory and the pain of loss that we all can experience in our lifetimes. Check out their latest album below:

Honestly there’s no place I’d rather be than at the RÜFÜS DU SOL tour on Saturday on April 27th at WaMu, with their new revamped visual setup and coming off the release of their immersive  ‘Underwater’ video at Coachella, this Seattle show should really be one to remember.

Are you attending the show on the 27th? What songs are you most excited to experience? Let us know on Facebook and Twitter!
