Throughout the years there have been many scandalous stories about record labels and managers swindling artist’s hard earned money out from under them. One of the best known instances is Trans Continental Records, founded by Lou Pearlman. Pearlman, who assembled 90s pop icons like Backstreet Boys, *N’sync, and Britney Spears, was exposed for one of the longest running ponzi schemes in music history, allowing him to embezzle millions of dollars. SectionZ Records’ founder is Joshua Hernandez. Yes, Savant’s manager. The concept behind SectionZ Records is very much what Aleksander and Joshua both stand for, which is the complete opposite of Trans Continental Records’ Lou Pearlman.
