The seventh edition of Insomniac’s EDC Orlando might be the best one yet! The all-star lineup features over 55 of the best in dance music today, playing across multiple stages. Performing alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren, Excision, and Kaskade is a local Seattle favorite. And he’s bringing the heat to the Sunshine state.
After winning a nation-wide contest, Aston Manor’s own DJ SHARPS will perform at EDC Orlando’s Coronra Electric Beach stage Friday afternoon. For him, excited is an understatement. [pullquote align=”right”]”Honestly, I never thought it would happen.”[/pullquote]
Since attending his first EDC Las Vegas in 2011, a trip to the electric sky has become a yearly experience. SHARPS, aka Winson Sharps, tells us how one EDC after another, he would stand in the crowd- imaging what it would be like to perform on one of the festival’s grand stages. Now, the dream has come true. [pullquote]”I can now proudly say “I’m playing EDC”!”[/pullquote]
SHARPS will hit the stage at 3:30PM for an hour and a half long set. Those who’ve seen him perform knows all about his sound, an influence of hip-hop, trap, rock, and many other genres. His message to those who will be in attendance? Those who aren’t as familiar? ”Just be primed, and ready to turn up!”
