EDM music video receives over a million views in four days — here’s how

How do you get over a million views on an EDM music video in a matter of days?

First, group three standalone stars for one power-packed collaboration. Next, write a song that perfectly describes how it feels to lose love in a relationship. Finally, film Clara Mae holding her breath underwater for what seems like an eternity. R3HAB, Clara Mae & Frank Walker did just that, delivering a polished music video for their new release More Than OK.

Welcome to our weekly new music video roundup! In addition to that viral video, the past few weeks also brought new content from Calvin Harris and Boris Brejcha. Enjoy!

1. R3HAB & Clara Mae & Frank Walker – More Than OK

This video uses a high contrast blue and orange color palette to visualize contention in a relationship. Symbols such as broken glass, raging four-wheelers, and underwater self-reflection capture some serious emotional turbulence.

2. Love Regenerator, Calvin Harris – CP-1 [edit]

Turns out, not everyone is looking to get a million views on their next video. That’s why Adam Richard Wiles, aka Calvin Harris, has reinvented himself under the new moniker Love Regenerator.

Escaping incessant demands for huge tracks, Wiles will now march to his own beat, experimenting with new sounds and styles. The trippy visualizer for CP-1 [edit] captures this new direction with explosive colors, textures, and patterns that defy an overly polished look.

3. Boris Brejcha – To The Moon And Back feat. Ginger

Boris Brejcha’s new music video for To The Moon and Back mixes hand-drawn animation with cinematic shots. Almost surreal in nature, the artist’s signature mask contrasts a stark, arid background. Depicting a pair of travelers separated in an other-worldly environment, this video asserts the song’s status as a love song. Watch to find out whether or not these two lovers will be reunited.
