It’s no secret that our scene has arrived as something of a turning point. While larger festivals with massive stage production certainly have their place within in, there’s immense value in alternatives that take us back to basics. Enter Outlines, Upper Left’s upcoming warehouse show featuring T.E.E.D., Brodinski, Ryan Hemsworth, and a stacked lineup of local support. The event itself is already filled to the brim with incredible talent, and now we officially have the previously secret location in-hand.
Upper Left will be taking over two separate buildings along with a whole city block, hosting Outlines at the British Motor Coach and Canvas Event Space, at 420 S Hinds St. in Seattle. Each building will house its own stage, with the Hind Street Outdoor area connecting the two in between. Sweetening the deal is a similar announcement for August’s Dirtybird BBQ, set to take place at the Broad Street Green directly under the Space Needle.
The combined result is two unique locations with little to no precedent in the modern era of Seattle shows. Attendees will be treated to wholly singular experiences that harkens back to the early days of warehouse and park parties, and backed by a roster of artists perfectly suited for both settings. Tickets are available now, so jump on before it’s too late! Suffice it to say, you haven’t see a summer like this in our city for a long time.
