A peek inside Zhu’s techno side project, Blacklizt

Zhu has a techno side project. Outside of his deep house set featuring a saxophone player and a guitarist he spins techno with his Blacklizt alias. Zhu first tweeted about Blacklizt on January 1, 2018.

In the 15 months since he has played a handful of techno sets across the globe. If you do some research on his Blacklizt website you will find that he has shows scheduled for San Francisco, London, Dubai, Shanghai, and Melbourne. There are currently no official releases under Blacklizt but there are two full recorded live performances.

One from Do Lab at Coachella 2018:

And another from his sunrise set at Joshua Tree in August of 2018:

If you are heading out to the desert for EDC then you might notice Zhu has a planned Blacklizt set on the lineup. First Zhu will play a Blacklizt set on Friday and on Saturday he will play the traditional Zhu performance.

Get ready for Zhu’s first appearance at the Gorge Amphitheater and Shambhala this summer!
