11 Northwest Festival Lineups You Might’ve Missed

Photo: Joffrey Middleton-Hope

We are firmly in the throes of festival season, and lineup announcements are coming in at a steady clip. The changing landscape of dance music and flurry of new and old festivals releasing rosters of artists on a daily-basis can be difficult to keep track of. The Northwest is no stranger to these seasonal occurrences, with a wide-variety of festivals taking place all over our corner of the continent.

Although it’s only mid-April, and many more festival lineup announcements are undoubtedly on the way, we’ve compiled a list of Northwest lineups that shouldn’t be missed. Even though we’re still waiting on lineups from heavy-hitters like Paradiso and Bumbershoot, 2016 is already looking like another great Festival Season for Northwest dance music fans.

UPDATE: We’ve been gifted the Paradiso 2016 lineup! Check out all of the artists, ticket info, and everything ‘Diso here.

Shambhala Music Festival

Selling-out in record time, Shambhala Music Festival continues cementing it’s place in the hearts and souls of dance music fans around the world. Annually producing on of the best festival lineups of the year, for any EDM festival, Shambhala has done it again in 2016.

The 19th installment of Shambhala will include headliners from a typically diverse bunch, such as Andy C, Boys Noize, Haywyre, Green Velvet, Keys N Krates, Snails, and more. Much of why we love Shambs has less to do with the music, and more with the people, but this year’s lineup fits right in with past greats. Be sure to check out the stage-by-stage lineup announcements for Shambhala 2016 for more details on who we’ll be seeing, and where, on The Farm this summer.

Pemberton Music Festival

Looking for a festival where you can catch Pearl Jam, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, and Kaskade all in one place? Well, even if you’re not, we found one. And it’s one of our annual favorites. Pemberton Music Festival continues their tradition of incredible lineups, drawing from as wide a variety of genres as any festival out there, while featuring another formidable comedy lineup as well.

Even if you’re only craving dance music, Pemberton has plenty to offer. Alongside Bassnectar and Kaskade, massive artists like DJ Snake, Steve Angello, The Chainsmokers, Purity Ring, Big Gigantic, Keys N Krates, Hudson Mohawke, and more will be representing our music genre of choice among a lineup of legends. You can get more info on the festival, as well as tickets, via the official site.

SASQUATCH! may have gone lighter on the dance music in 2016, compared to year’s past, but there’s more than enough reasons to head to The Gorge over Memorial Day weekend. Disclosure, Major Lazer, Chet Faker, Jamie XX, and more join The Cure, Florence & The Machine, Alabama Shakes, and A$AP Rocky for the 15th year of SASQUATCH! You can buy tickets, check out festival info, and buy merchandise on the official website, here.
