See Her Be Her celebrates women in EDM with a day of incredible musical performances

We’ve said it many times before, electronic music can and should be doing more to highlight the incredible women operating in the industry as DJs, producers, showrunners, event crew, photographers, videographers, and investors.

MMBASSY, headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, is a new production company that has positioned itself to further this goal by elevating women in the electronic music industry, shining a spotlight on womens’ contributions to EDM, and fostering a space where women thrive in every nightlife role.

MMBASSY’s latest event, See Her Be Her is quickly shaping up to be its flagship offering to Pacific Northwest dance lovers. Taking place on Saturday, March 8th – International Women’s Day – See Her Be Her will feature inspirational panels, skill-building workshops, and an evening of unforgettable music from an all-female lineup.

MMBASSY’s See Her Be Her has attracted some powerful partners, including co-producer c89.5, KEXP, Armada Music, Monstercat, Vivid Presents, Support Women DJs, MainStage Shufflers, and Duck Brunch. These industry luminaries will be gathering at the W Seattle beginning at Noon to host expert panels and workshops including hands-on sessions for DJing, Twitch streaming, and Shuffling, along with panels exposing the stories, challenges, and successes of women in the industry.

Then it’s over to the Crocodile’s Madame Lou’s at 5:30 pm for an absolutely stacked evening of dance music provided by an incredible all-female cast of DJs and producers, including MMBASSY founder Mia Maya. The See Her Be Her lineup also features c89.5 Music Director Harmony Soleil, host of the station’s ‘Drive at 5’ radio show and many others. It’s rounded out by phenomenal local and regional female artists, including:

Ari | Bex from Chicago | Canche Cachete | Farin | Jacki Why | Harmony Soleil | Leah York | Lola K | Mia Maya | Taylor Hadden | Thalestriss | Sloane Motion | Shades of Day | Snapdragon

Tickets are on sale now for See Her Be Her, which begin at $34. The panel and workshops event begins at 12:00pm at the W Seattle, and musical performances begin at 5:30pm at Madam Lou’s in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. Get your tickets while they last and experience this one-of-a-kind event!
