Let’s get ready to rumble! This Summer, White Rabbit Group and Scummy Bears are bringing us back to Magnuson Park Hangar 30 to watch as dubstep titans duke it out on stage for the Battle of Seattle. On Saturday, June 7, four of heavy basses’ biggest names will be going face-to-face for a night of heavy hitters and headbanging where two DJs enter, and one is crowned champion. In this special event, DJs will be entering an actual boxing ring to play out their biggest and strongest tunes, going back and forth till a clear winner emerges.
Local artists Shockface, Third Degree, and No Label will be opening up the night to get the crowd warmed up and ready for these fights. You will not want to miss these sets as they build anticipation and excitement to see two rounds of heavyweight dubstep artists fight it out over the decks to claim victory in the ring.
For the first round of the Battle in Seattle, Rated R will go face to face with Izzy Vadim. Both of these artists have played at some of the biggest venues and events that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, including Bass Canyon and Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge. Both of them have millions of plays on Spotify that have brought them die-hard followings. Fans of Rated R and Izzy Vadim will be showing out in droves, sporting their favorite artists’ merch and cheering them on as they battle it out in the first round.
For round two, the title card fight of the Battle in Seattle will be Bear Grillz going face to face with Midnight Tyrannosaurus. Bear Grillz has headlined at Magnuson Park Hangar 30 before, selling out the venue with rabid fans of the long-time Washington favorite. Midnight Tyrannosaurus has also performed several times in the PNW and has a loyal fan base. However, Midnight T will have to fight hard to win over the crowd as the incoming visitor to Hangar 30. We cannot wait to see these two grizzled veterans go toe to toe for the championship belt.
Showgoers will be able to vote after each round for which set they think was better. The winner of each round will be given a thousand dollars to be donated to a charity of their choice.
