Beyond Wonderland officially slated for this summer at the Gorge

It appears that the most recent announcement today from Insomniac was only a tease at things to come. Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella has already stated he wants Insomniac to make its long-awaited return the Gorge Amphitheater event this summer.

Now with a new Instagram announcement (peep the post below) and a launch of separate social media accounts just for the event, Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge is confirmed and obviously intended to be that event.

In his annual State of Insomniac update, Pasquale Rotella unveiled a swirl of announcements around all of the company’s various events across the country. However, the biggest news for the Pacific Northwest came from one of the report’s headline reading, “Beyond will return to the Pacific Northwest.”

For those who’ve been attending Insomniac’s events over the last decade, they may have been a part of Beyond Wonderland’s short-lived run in Seattle, Washington at WaMu Theater back in 2011. Now, the popular festival will be headed to the Gorge for a triumphant return.

Rumors have been swirling with regards to dates and the location up until now, so it is a welcome confirmation that the event will be commencing at one of the most beautiful venues in the entire world as soon as this summer. It’s unclear which weekend the festival will occupy, but DMNW will continue to provide updates with all confirmed announcements as they continue to be released.

With litigation between Insomniac and USC Events still ongoing, it’s also unclear as to what this means for the fate of Paradiso Festival, which USC has held at the Gorge every June since 2012.
