Don’t miss hardstyle legends Da Tweekaz at Substation in Seattle

Da Tweekaz are one of the hottest hardstyle dance acts in the entire world, and they’re coming to Substation in Seattle on September 2!

Who are Da Tweekaz?

The Norwegian duo of Kenth Kvien and Marcus Nordli first started the hardstyle dance project in 2007, and have been based out of Belgium since 2012. The pair are well known for their energetic music, infusion of humor in their songs and sets, and hardstyle remixes of famous songs such as Alan Walker’s Faded, and many Disney theme songs. They have been main-stage regulars at Tomorrowland for a few years, and are taking their act to the States!

Da Tweekaz’s main-stage performance this year at Tomorrowland Day 2 was mind-blowing, and a great preview for this upcoming show! Some of our favorite songs were Samba de Janeiro, One Night in Bangkok, Can-Can, and Lambada (Your Love). Each song features perfect kicks that force you to fist-pump along to its catchy melodies.

Dubstep is king in the United States, but in Europe, it’s all about hard dance for ravers who love grimy bass and activating their inner animals. At Tomorrowland 2023 we were astounded by the abundance of hard dance in sets from Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki, and W+W b2b R3hab.

Da Tweekaz also goes by the moniker Tweekacore for their hardcore songs. Hardstyle is typically happier and positive while hardcore is more aggressive and in your face. Below are some of our favorite releases from the masters of euphoric hardcore. Check out more music on their Soundcloud. See if you can spot the subtle distinction between the two genres below!

Substation boasts great bookings through the rest of the summer

Located in Seattle’s Ballard/Fremont neighborhood, Substation hosts many different events ranging from heavy metal to country to EDM. Check out our most recent review at Substation: Yakz and Sisto brought out special guest SVDDEN DEATH! Substation features ample room to drink, smoke outdoors, and dance with max capacity of 700 and 21+ only.

We just attended local group Noise Complaint’s 7th year anniversary with Shiba San, which was lit and packed. We loved the great atmosphere, sound system, and lasers at the event. When Da Tweekaz will perform, we expect the crowd to go nuts! We are always excited to see which exciting names Substation books. Check out their list of upcoming shows on the Substation website.

Come join us for a night of fun with the Norwegian legends Da Tweekaz at Substation! The duo joins us in Seattle on September 2, so make sure to grab your tickets before they sell out.
