Forum: Seattle’s Newest Nightlife Spot Poised To Take Over The Weekend

Typically, a nightclub is a nightclub, and that’s it. It doesn’t serve dinner, it rarely offers anything that resembles a happy hour, and any given Friday or Saturday will usually end in you getting a drink spilled on your lap in a crowded room. There are of course the benefits of great music, a killer dancefloor, and a place to go with your friends on the weekend, but for the most part our expectations are understandably tempered. With Seattle’s newest nightlife destination Forum though, South Lake Union is home to so much more than your typical nightclub experience.

The second you walk in the door, you see the intricately designed bars decorating the windows, gorgeous wood paneling, and a healthy division of dancefloor and comfortable seating space for both VIPs and non-VIPs alike. Come in before the sun goes down and you and a date can enjoy a fully-stacked menu with a view of the water to boot. Once it does get dark though, the two-floor venue kicks the energy into gear.

Forum’s main room comes complete with a gorgeous view and a chandelier to boot.

Forum features everything from all style dance cyphers and cash prize beer pong tournaments beginning at 9:30pm every Wednesday, to hip-hop and Latin music nights on Friday and Saturday respectively. As you wander up the stairs, you’ll notice the chandelier gracing the main dancefloor, an area for pool tables, and a stunning view overlooking all of South Lake Union. Summertime is fast upon us, and with that Forum is more than happy to throw open their ceiling-to-floor sized windows to let in the warm breeze off the lake as you dance the night away.

This Friday, for the first time ever Forum will be hosting Anjunabeats’ own Dinka, as well as a stacked lineup of locals, all in the name of providing aid for our friends over in Oso following the devastating mudslides last March. Homes and lives were lost, but the resolve of the community was not. Now it’s up to us to do everything we can to help get Oso back on its collective feet.

Stop in starting at 8pm, and for just $10 cash at the door you can experience the unadulterated trance wonder that is Dinka, get the chance to bid at our silent auction, and dust off that old suit or cocktail dress for a night to remember. With the beauty of our newest favorite venue, there’s no place we’d rather be than Forum as we unite to provide all the help we can to the Oso community in their time of need.

To stay up to date on upcoming events at Forum, you can follow them on Facebook here!
