From Nirvana To Beat Connection: How Music Has Changed

[divider]Looking Forward[/divider]

In summation, the biggest thing that has changed in the music industry is the way we cultivate our music libraries. During the 90’s the primary way to share music with one another was by burning a CD or creating a mix tape. Now we have digital platforms to create our own music libraries and share them with the world. Any individual can easily access a vast array of music. The other major change is how an artist gets paid. Before it was primarily record sales. Now its through heavy touring, merchandizing, and advertising.

Looking forward into the future, if we are able to keep this renaissance going, we as the consumer need to support our favorite artists. We are going to have a case of bounce back in the coming years if we don’t. The music industry is a very hard place to make money in as an artist. If we don’t support them financially, we might not see as many independent artists as we do now.

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
