Old school dubstep fans rejoiced last month as the multi-talented Tanner Petulla, also known as Getter, announced his return to live shows with a massive North American Tour. This comeback comes after an assumed indefinite hiatus and was thought to be the end of the Getter project. Pacific Northwest ravers will have four opportunities to see Getter on this return tour in Washington, Oregon, and Vancouver, B.C. over the next two months.
The Vine and YouTube star, rap artist, clothing proprietor, producer, and DJ has been making some of the most recognizable and timeless tracks in heavy bass music since 2011. He made a major impact with his first two EPs, Extermination and Grousome. Since the early days of American dubstep, Getter has developed a space of his own, constantly pushing the boundaries of sound and style with psychedelic skate-inspired visuals, grimy basses, and a memorable onstage presence.

Getter’s triumphant comeback after hiatus
Getter’s last performances before his exit from touring were over 2 years ago on his Some Creature Tour. Before that, Getter suffered a major setback while on tour for his 2018 album Visceral. Getter received several surprisingly brutal crowd responses while on tour when supposed fans booed and jeered at his song choices, most of which were tracks from the Visceral album. This cruel treatment in April of 2019 caused him to cut the tour short and cancel any future shows. After receding from his Getter project, Tanner Petulla put his creative efforts into his rap project Terror Reid, releasing numerous albums and EPs, all of which have received general acclaim and success in both the online and public spheres.

After the trials and tribulations of the project, Getter is now returning with a full-fledged North American Tour. Getter’s Resurrection tour kicked off on July 4, 2025 with a special performance in Nashville. On July 11, Getter performed at the Pinnacle in Tennessee as a supporting act for fellow dubstep legend SVDDEN DEATH. This performance received huge support from the crowd and massive attention on social media.
Since his first return show, Getter has been showing up on interviews with social media influencers and collaborating with popular news outlets like XLNTSOUND and I’m Peaking podcast. His unapologetically genuine attitude and entertaining stories are being clipped and shared by the thousands. The overwhelmingly positive response to his online presence and live performances has all but solidified his comeback to the EDM scene.
