How do we define Kaskade’s new 17-song release?

Arkade Destinations Living Room. Here’s 17 new singles from Kaskade where we feel this is separate from his mainstage and redux work. This appears to be Lo-fi at it’s best. In the past Kaskade has mentioned that he uses his Redux project as an outlet for fun music. Music that he loves but doesn’t have a home on main stages. Arkade Destinations Living Room, as a lo-fi project, takes us one deeper into Kaskade’s brain.

This is the third Arkade Destinations release from Kaskade. The previous, Arkade Destinations: Iceland is from October 2019 and is a 27-track compilation album from numerous musicians on Kaskade’s Arkade label. The Iceland version featured a total of four produced tracks from Kaskade.

On the other hand, the new Arkade Destinations Living Room features 17 produced tracks from Kaskade. This time, every track is produced by Kaskade.

We can’t call this an album, and it’s not an EP. We’re just happy Kaskade shared it with us. You can feel the the struggle of 2020 in Arkade Destinations Living Room… It’s a clear pensive sadness across the board. It’s realistic to feel pain, and Kaskade is being real with us.

Simultaneously there is so much love and courage coming out of Kaskade’s living room! We know we can’t stop moving, We Don’t Stop dancing. We will never give up.

How do we define 17 new Lo-fi tracks from Kaskade? As a reminder that we will win. A reminder to smile despite the consequences.
