Infected Mushroom To Make Their Triumphant Seattle Return With Live Band

Psy-trance superduo Infected Mushroom has a knack for keeping their act fresh. Their appearance at Paradiso brought us their stunning Fungusamongus show (with space-pods included), and at FreakNight they followed that up with a live DJ set. But now, in the words of Monty Python, time for something completely different.

This time around, Infected Mushroom will be invading Seattle with a spectacular live band setup the likes of which this city has never seen. As part of our upcoming exclusive interview, we got the full low-down on what exactly to expect come Friday.
The Live Band is a more explosive type of set – the energy tends to be higher because it’s very interactive. The instrumental component of the live band really gets people involved. It is like a rock show rave, and we are excited to bring it back to Seattle.
Anyone that saw either of the duo’s last two performances can attest to the unmatched energy they bring to every show. Something about our city though holds a special place in their heart, and it’s more than evident every time they pass through: “We love the Northwest, it is a great market for Infected and we feel the love every time we are there. The fans really know how to go mental!”

Infected Mushroom’s Fungusamongus setup was next-level amazing.

There’s something about the Pacific Northwest that always seems to resonate with visiting DJs. For Infected Mushroom, that love is always reciprocated as it channels through into their live show. But what’s going to make this show more special than any other we’ve seen from them?
Well besides us running around stage naked?
Their appearance at the Showbox Market this Friday is set to include “a slate of new tunes,” along with a promise from the men themselves of “bringing our full energy.” As many of you may be familiar with, that energy includes a raucous stage presence, more than a sense of humor (sorry everyone, there won’t actually be live full-scale nudity), and a crowd that’s ready to dance.

Tickets through the Showbox are all sold out, but a limited amount of fan packages through the Infected Mushroom fanpage are still available here (including a meet-and-greet with the band and tons of gear). If you’re feeling lucky, keep an eye on ticket re-sellers here: This isn’t a show you’ll want to miss.

Stay tuned for our full exclusive interview with Infected Mushroom following their show on Friday, April 11! In the meantime, read all about our last conversation with them at Paradiso 2013!
